This interactive, visual art show consists of diaries, artwork and film. The center of the installation is used for film projection to stimulate actual participation of visitors of the museum. Visitors are invited to take a diary in their hands and add their reactions to the open diaries on location at the exhibit.
It is also possible to contribute a story on video and online. We welcome stories of young and old who stop to reflect about the long term effects of war upon their own lives.
This educational and inspirational project is looking for an appropriate permanent exhibition space in a national or international memorial museum. Colored by War deserves a permanent venue in the yet to be completed Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam where great numbers of visitors can learn about the long term affects of war on the families of the survivors born later.
